AppHunter is a snapshot-driven intelligence platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and what choices are available to you.

Who controls your information

Scope

This policy applies to AppHunter's website, checkout and billing flows, dashboard product, and support operations.

Information we collect

  • Account and authentication details, such as email address and identity provider identifiers required for sign-in.
  • Billing and access-entitlement records, such as order IDs and provider customer identifiers.
  • Technical and usage event data used for security and reliability, such as page paths, click events, referrer, user agent, and timestamps.
  • Legal acceptance records, including accepted document versions, acceptance time, and audit metadata.
  • Support communications you send to us (including any attachments you choose to include).
  • Public market and creator information that appears in snapshots, including app metadata and publicly available handles and metrics.

How we collect information

  • Directly from you, for example when you create an account, buy a plan, or contact support.
  • Automatically from your browser/device when you use the website or dashboard.
  • From service providers that support authentication, billing, infrastructure, and security.
  • From publicly available sources used to build market snapshots and related intelligence outputs.

How we use information

  • Provide and operate the Service, including authentication and access control.
  • Process payments and maintain entitlements.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose reliability issues.
  • Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms.
  • Improve product quality and user experience.
  • Meet legal, tax, accounting, and compliance obligations.

Legal bases (where required)

  • Performance of contract to provide the Service you request.
  • Legitimate interests in security, product reliability, and service improvement.
  • Compliance with legal obligations.
  • Consent, where consent is required for a specific processing activity.

How we share information

We share information with service providers that process data on our behalf so we can operate the Service. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in a merger, financing, or asset-transfer transaction.

  • Clerk (authentication, identity, and account sessions).
  • Polar (checkout, billing, and customer portal operations).
  • Infrastructure and operational providers (hosting, database, observability, and security tooling).

We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use first-party and provider-set cookies for essential operations such as sign-in sessions, fraud prevention, and checkout continuity.

AppHunter does not currently run third-party advertising cookies. Because our current cookie usage is limited to essential/service-operation purposes, we do not present a standalone cookie pop-up button at this time. If we introduce non-essential cookie categories in the future, we will update this policy and provide controls where required.

Data retention

  • Account and entitlement records: retained while your account is active and as needed for support.
  • Legal acceptance audit metadata: typically retained up to 90 days unless longer retention is required.
  • Operational security logs: typically retained up to 30 days.
  • Billing records: retained as required for accounting, tax, and financial compliance.
  • Support tickets: retained as needed to resolve issues and maintain service quality.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your rights and choices

You can request access, correction, or deletion of eligible personal information by emailing hi@apphunter.ai. We may request additional details to verify identity before processing requests.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or similar jurisdictions, you may have additional rights including portability, restriction, objection, and lodging a complaint with your local supervisory authority. If you are a U.S. state resident with applicable privacy rights (including California), you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and appeal certain decisions. AppHunter does not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

International users

AppHunter is offered globally (including the US, UK, and EU). Your information may be processed in Ljubljana, Slovenia, the United States, and other locations where our providers operate.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 and is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date above and may provide additional notice for material changes.
